The Arnold Sports Festival is once again in search of the World's Strongest Firefighter!


World's Strongest Firefighter Contest
The World's Strongest Firefighter Contest will return to the Arnold Sports Festival in 2023 with a bigger and better format.
The contest, held on the Santa Monica Pier in 2020 and before a sold-out crowd at the 2022 Arnold Sports Festival, will be an open competition in 2023 with three weight classes -- open men, middleweight men (under 231 pounds) and women. The top 10 finishers in the open men's competition and the winner of the men's middleweight and women's divisions will advance to the World's Strongest Firefighter finals at the Arnold Expo Stage on Saturday, March 4.
The 2023 World's Strongest Firefighter Preliminaries will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 3 inside the Arnold Expo. Finals will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 4 on the Arnold Expo Stage.
2023 Preliminary Events: Viking Press, Power Stairs, Seated Arm Over Arm Pull. Fatback Farmers Carry
2023 Finals Events: Axe Hold, Sandbag Carry, Fire Hydrant Load, Ambulance Tire Deadlift
The 2023 entry fee is $100.
Daniel Camacho (Phoenix, Ariz., Fire Department), Marcus Waugh (Toledo, Ohio, Fire & Rescue) and Brooks Larkin (East Manatee Fire, Bradenton, Fla.), the top three finishers from the 2022 World's Strongest Firefighter Contest, will automatically advance to Sunday's final.
A portion of registration fees will benefit the Santa Monica Firefighters Relief Fund; CAL FIRE Benevolent Foundation, and the Columbus Firefighters Foundation.
The contest will be produced in partnership with Strongman Corporation.
