AI Content Policy
Arnold Sports Festival Artificial Intelligence (AI) Content Policy
The Arnold Sports Festival embraces emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), as tools that can enhance creativity, preserve history, and improve communication with our fans, athletes, partners, and community.
OUR APPROACH
AI is a tool, not a substitute for authenticity, creativity, or human judgment. We use AI to support our work while maintaining a commitment to accuracy, quality, transparency, and respect for the legacy of the Arnold Sports Festival.
All use of AI by the Arnold Sports Festival must comply with applicable laws, regulations, intellectual property requirements, privacy protections, advertising standards, and other legal obligations.
HISTORICAL IMAGE RESTORATION
We may use AI powered software to restore, enhance, upscale, colorize, or otherwise improve the quality of historical photographs, videos, and archival materials.
CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT & MERCHANDISE
We may use AI generated concepts, illustrations, renderings, or visual inspiration during the development of merchandise, artwork, event branding, marketing campaigns, exhibits, and fan experiences.
EVENT CONCEPTS, ACTIVATIONS & FUTURE EXPERIENCES
When presenting visualizations of proposed attractions, activations, venue enhancements, stage concepts, exhibits, or future event experiences, AI generated imagery may be used to help communicate ideas. Whenever practical, such imagery will be identified as RENDERING, CONCEPT ART, or ARTIST'S RENDERING.
HUMOR, SATIRE & ENTERTAINMENT
From time to time, we may use AI generated content for humorous, satirical, commemorative, or entertainment purposes. When AI is used in this manner, we will indicate this when practical through captions, descriptions, or accompanying context.
APPROVED USES OF AI
• Restoring, enhancing, or preserving historical photos, videos, and archival materials.
• Creating concept art, visualizations, renderings, and creative inspiration for events, exhibits, merchandise, and marketing.
• Assisting with content development, editing, translation, transcription, research, or administrative workflows subject to editorial review.
• Producing clearly labeled conceptual, educational, commemorative, humorous, or entertainment content.
• Supporting fan engagement and communication subject to editorial review.
PROHIBITED USES OF AI
• Creating deepfakes or synthetic depictions of real individuals without appropriate consent or authorization.
• Misrepresenting AI generated content as authentic recordings, photographs, events, endorsements, or statements.
• Fabricating news, event outcomes, athlete achievements, records, quotes, interviews, or historical facts.
• Using AI to impersonate individuals, deceive audiences, commit fraud, or infringe upon legal rights.
COMMITMENT TO QUALITY
We strive to avoid the production or publication of low quality, misleading, repetitive, or mass generated content commonly referred to as "AI slop."
Every piece of content published by the Arnold Sports Festival is subject to review by real people. AI may assist with certain creative or administrative tasks, but editorial judgment, brand standards, and final approval remain the responsibility of our team.
TRANSPARENCY
We believe audiences deserve honesty regarding how content is created.
When practical, AI generated renderings used to depict future attractions, venues, stages, activations, exhibits, merchandise, or experiences will be identified as renderings, concept art, or artist renderings.
Not every use of AI requires disclosure. Tools that assist with editing, restoration, transcription, translation, research, workflow management, or similar behind the scenes functions may not be specifically identified.
Our objective is straightforward: use technology to enhance creativity, preserve history, and better serve the bodybuilding community while maintaining authenticity, transparency, and trust.
